I just finished reading Stars Above and it was nothing short of amazing. Here’s my review:
Marissa Meyer has yet again astounded us with her ability to weave fairy tales and science fiction together in an interesting and exciting way. Her collection of novellas, Stars Above, is a fascinating glimpse into the lives of characters that we may not have been able to see before, and it also provides a blissfully happy ending that all of her readers were dying for after the finale of The Lunar Chronicles. Each short story pulled me deeper into the world of this series, and it left me desperately wanting more. The Keeper, Glitches, The Queen’s Army, Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky, After Sunshine Passes By, The Princess and the Guard, The Little Android, and The Mechanic allowed for beautiful depictions of our beloved characters lives before and during the series’ plot (including Michelle Benoit, Cinder, Wolf, Thorne, Cress, Winter, Kai, and more)… but most of all I LOVED Something Old Something New! It was so perfect! The romance between all of the characters and the fellowship between their group of friends was so wonderful to read. I enjoyed it more than any other novella in the collection. To say the least, Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles is, and always will be magical and gorgeously written.
