Why is a Raven like a Writing Desk?

These are some very interesting answers to this famously-unanswerable riddle.

“Because both can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and are nevar put with the wrong end in front!”

“Both have quills dipped in ink.”

“Because a writing desk is a rest for pens and a raven is a pest for wrens.”

“Poe wrote on both.”

“Because one is good for writing books and the other is good for biting rooks.”

Here’s a little bittersweet rhyme I came up with about Heartless. It helps me cope. (If you haven’t read the book this will sound like nonsense to you, and if you have read the book it will still sound like nonsense but in a way that makes perfect sense. Such is the way in Wonderland).

Murderer, Martyr, Monarch, Mad,

Fox, Owl, Raccoon

Weave a tale so wonderfully sad

About our favorite palace loon.

My poetry skills are rusty, yes, but then again I thought of this within 2 seconds and didn’t think twice about revising it. It’s not meant to be poetic necessarily, it just uses things from the book and some words from my imagination (unless it is poetic, in which case, yes it was definitely meant to be like that 😉 )

Empire Of Storms!

When you’ve been invested in the fictional life of Aelin Galathynius for more than a year and the last book is arriving at your door in 24 hours you’ll understand; the fangirling gets overwhelming. Thank you Mrs. Maas! Also, this beautiful fanart is perfect… Aelin and Rowan forever! ❤
